Personalized Art Instruction for Children and Teenagers
Every young artist has a unique creative voice. My private art lessons are designed to help teenagers develop their artistic skills while discovering what they enjoy creating and what they are capable of achieving.
Through individualized, one-on-one instruction, students learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting while developing their own ideas, interests, and creative expression. Lessons are adapted to each student’s experience and goals, whether they are just beginning or already have a strong interest in art. My approach is hands-on, encouraging, and designed to make learning art both fun and rewarding. Along the way, students develop greater confidence in their abilities, learn how to approach creative challenges, and gain skills they can continue building on for years to come.
Learning the Fundamentals Through Creative Projects
Although my own professional work is primarily abstract, I often introduce students to more representational subjects as a way to learn essential artistic skills. Depending on their interests, students may explore landscapes, animals, still life, portraits, comics, steampunk, florals, seascapes, and other subjects that inspire them. These projects provide a natural way to learn about drawing, proportion, perspective, color, composition, shading, texture, and painting techniques, while allowing students to create artwork they are excited about. I teach:

"Eddie has the unique ability to work with teen artists as they create a body of work over time. Teenage students can vary widely in skill level, but they are generally all very serious about learning new techniques and improving their artwork. Through one-on-one instruction, specific exercises, positive critique and exposure to advanced methods, students will be able to start or build a portfolio of work, which demonstrates a personal point of view." |
